About OrgChem

Orgchem is a consulting and formulation group of industry veterans specializing in organic photochemistry, polymer science, and applied materials engineering. They work with manufacturers, printers, converters, research institutions, and government organizations across industrial, packaging, and specialty markets. Orgchem supports material selection, formulation, FDA compliance, raw material sourcing, and process optimization from development through production.

Orgchem History

Orgchem’s roots trace back to early work in radiation-curable chemistry, including electron beam and UV-based printing and packaging technologies. Beginning in the 1990s, the team contributed to patented methods for decorative and functional packaging materials, gravure printing with radiation-curable inks, and fabrication processes for electronic and industrial applications.

Through the 2010s, this work expanded into commercialized metallization processes, advanced curing methods using electron beam, plasma, and ultraviolet radiation, and durable chemistries designed for high-speed manufacturing environments. Today, Orgchem builds on decades of applied chemistry, printing, and curing experience to support modern industrial, packaging, and specialty applications.

Applied Chemistry Support for Uvitron Systems

Orgchem provides application-specific chemistry expertise supporting Uvitron UV and UV LED curing systems. Their work focuses on formulation compatibility, photoinitiator response, cure depth, and crosslinking under real manufacturing conditions, while defining dose and exposure requirements and resolving issues related to adhesion, odor, extractables, and durability. Support spans material evaluation, formulation refinement, and process optimization from development through production.

  • Application-specific chemistry support for Uvitron UV and UV LED curing systems

  • Evaluation of radiation-curable formulations under real production conditions

  • Analysis of photoinitiator response, cure depth, surface cure, and crosslinking behavior

  • Assessment of formulation compatibility with UV arc and UV LED sources

  • Definition of dose, irradiance, and exposure requirements

  • Identification and resolution of curing limitations including adhesion, odor, extractables, and durability

  • Support for material selection, formulation refinement, and scale-up to production
