This switching power supply is a constant power source for the purpose of supplying power to a 400/600 watt UV Halide or other type of ultraviolet emitting lamp. The supply features an auto-ranging AC input, eliminating the need to configure voltage selectors for international use, and a "standby" logic signal for reducing output power while the system is idle. The unit also contains an isolated 5/24 Volt supply for powering system controllers, fans, shutters, etc.
Auto-Range AC line input
The Auto-Ranging 100-120 ±10% / 200-240 ±10% VAC line input makes the power supply easy to use in any country, with no wiring changes or voltage select switching required.
Lamp Power Regulation
To maintain constant power, the system divides the desired output power by the actual lamp voltage. This provides the appropriate current reference for the lamp regulator to compensate for lamp and line voltage variations. The result is repeatable curing times as the lamp ages, when the lamp is replaced, or when the input voltage fluctuates.
Standby power mode
The unit has an external standby input for reducing lamp power to 1/2 for the 400W and 1/3 for the 600W. This can reduce excess heat and power consumption during idle therefore increasing system reliability, efficiency and reducing ambient temperature rise.
