The PORTA-RAY 400R is a portable or low production UV curing system. Because of its versatility, it can handle a variety of UV curing applications. With an effective curing width of 6", it is ideal for batch or conveyor mounted curing of small parts. Weighing-in at a mere 6 pounds, the system is also perfect for applications where frequent transportation is involved.

The unit features a lightweight removable head, which serves as a self-contained handheld curing lamp during operation. The bottom half of the unit is an accessories carrying case for the headrest, UV glasses, power cord and adhesives, and is not required during operation.  The arc lamp is powered by the state of the art UV Power-Plus Lamp Driver. Due to its simple yet high-tech design, the PORTA-RAY is extremely user-friendly and reliable, requiring virtually no learning curve or setup time. 

FEATURES

Removable lamp head

The hand-held head contains a long life 400-Watt metal halide type lamp, which emits up to 500mW/cm² of evenly distributed, UVA light (315–400nm). Typical lamp life is 1000 hours.  The top surface of the lamp head also has threaded inserts for attachment to a customer's fixture, conveyor or automated machine.

Lamp power regulation

The system’s switch mode power supply maintains constant lamp power regardless of variations in AC line input or lamp voltages. This regulation provides for repeatable curing times and longer lamp life.

Standby mode

The unit features a standby mode rocker switch, which reduces lamp power by one half. This mode can be used to reduce heat and stray UV light output while the system is not in use.

Curing Chamber / Headrest

The System includes a 4.5 x 7.25 x 1.75" curing chamber with a pull-out drawer for shielded curing of small parts.

Forced air cooling

Integrated cooling fan in the lamp head insures cool operation and high system reliability.

Optional lamp spectrums

The PortaRay is available with UVA, UVB & visible spectrum lamps, which insure compatibility with adhesives and coatings of all types.
